Is it worth seeing a therapist?

Yes! Therapy can help. Therapy can help make impactful change whether that is improving your relationship with your self or others, coping with overwhelming feelings, understanding the challenges that you are facing, acknowledging your needs, setting boundaries and so much more. We do regular outcomes so that I can find out what does work for you and what doesn’t. I want to make sure that we are working on what brought you to therapy and you are noticing sustainable change or shifts and if you aren’t, addressing what we need to change it up.

Do I need therapy?

Therapy can be helpful for anyone. Therapy isn’t just for those that are struggling with something in their life. It can also be helpful place for self exploration, noticing patterns or moving towards a goal. Many of you come to me when you are having difficulty coping with feelings, just want to feel like yourself again or need to process something.

How do I know if you are the right fit for me?

It is common to feel apprehensive when starting the therapy process, especially if it is your first time. The only way to truly know is to begin the process. Therapy is a collaborative process and you know yourself best. If something isn’t working for you, I encourage you to bring it into our sessions. This can be so impactful and I can make sure you feel like you are getting what you need. If it isn’t the right fit, I can help you find someone that is.

Do you offer telehealth, online or video counseling or in person sessions?

Kull Counseling is proud to offer both in person and telehealth sessions. I have been doing telehealth sessions for years and am trained in how to use telehealth effectively in therapy. I also provide in person sessions in the Quarry Arts building.

How frequently will we meet?

We will meet once a week until you start to meet your therapy goals. I know that you come to me when you want to feel better as soon as possible. This allows us to dig in right away.

What if I have to miss an appointment?

In the event that your availability for an appointment changes, Kull Counseling, LLC appreciates cancellation in advance. Appointments cancelled with less than 48 hour notice will require billing for the entire appointment fee.

How much is therapy in Wisconsin?

Therapy is an investment in your well-being.

Initial Assessment-$225

Individual weekly therapy 45 minutes - $175

Individual weekly therapy 53 minutes- $190

What payment do you accept?

Cash, check, credit, and Flexible Spending Accounts are accepted at the time of service.

Super bills will be provided for those that would like to utilize out of network benefits. Interested in using out of network benefits but not sure how? Reimbursify can help.

Do you accept Insurance?

I am in network with Dean insurance- not all plans. Please specify your plan when you fill out the contact form.

Out of Network Benefits for PPO plans- reimbursement rates vary (Please check with your insurance). If you want to use your insurance I can provide you with a superbill.

What are the benefits to paying out of pocket for therapy?

  • Increased confidentiality (this is especially important now given the current political climate in the reproductive world).

  • The focus remains on you rather than what your insurance company requires to pay for sessions.

  • Not all goals are covered by insurance (think improving low self esteem, better communication with your partner, understanding yourself).

  • You get to work with a provider that is the best fit for you rather than who takes your insurance and can get you in the quickest.

  • No month long wait lists. If I cannot see you in the next few weeks I refer out. It is not good client care to put you on a wait list for months while you could be receiving services and making progress.
